However, under new ownership, the hotel has undergone a remarkable transformation, resolving all concerns and meeting the highest health and safety standards.
Now, with renewed vigor, the Ambassadeur Hotel focuses on what it does best: hosting unforgettable late-night parties. Even as the sun rises, the bar continues to pulse with energy, attracting party-goers who revel in the dimly lit ambiance. And let’s not forget about the swingers party that happened to coincide with our visit – a truly unique experience that unfolded on the pool deck until the break of dawn. Once inside, you’ll encounter a brooding, gothic world, brimming with peculiarities. A suit of armor, bookcases filled with dusty tomes, and an imposing stone fountain further add to the hotel’s unique character.
The reception desk, adorned in sleek black, provides efficient and friendly service. However, be prepared to find your own way to your room and familiarize yourself with the hotel’s amenities. Ascend via the single blood-red elevator, accompanied by a striking reproduction of the “Mona Lisa,” and discover the surprises that await.
Themed Comfort and Curiosity
Each of the Ambassadeur Hotel’s 63 rooms on three floors is dedicated to a renowned painter. The name of the artist decorates a placard on the door, while their mesmerizing paintings adorn the walls. As you traverse the corridor, prepare to be captivated by the unsettling beauty that surrounds you.
After a minor hiccup with our room key, we were relocated to a space inspired by Colombian artist Fernando Botero. The room, with its black walls and shutters, exuded an alluring atmosphere. A comfortable white bed, adorned with a red bolster, served as the focal point. Additional amenities included a white orchid, a flat-screen TV, and Fiji waters available for purchase on the dresser.

A Few Imperfections

In the hustle and bustle of arrival, finding a parking spot might prove challenging, and valet parking is the only option available. Furthermore, the absence of a hairdryer in our room left us somewhat disgruntled. However, the most significant issue was the noise. Although the receptionist discounted our resort fee upon complaint, we were surprised that the hotel neglected to inform us of the lively nightclub atmosphere during check-in. It would be beneficial if this aspect were communicated to guests during the booking process for a more seamless stay. Nevertheless, guests can request quieter rooms away from the bar area.
