New and Improved Features
The G2 REEFER aquarium series boasts a range of innovative features that set it apart:
- Upgraded ultra-clear, beveled-edge glass with increased thickness
- Extra-fortified marine-spec laminated cabinets made of plywood (with additional aluminum “floating tank” supports for larger models)
- Dual side-facing return pump outlets for optimal water distribution (available on REEFER 350 G2 models and larger)
- Large central overflow box for discreet piping and a convenient surface skimmer with a removable weir comb for effortless cleaning
- Silent downflow system with a larger rectangular inlet to minimize turbulence
- Assembly-ready piping with extra bulkhead connectors in Metric and USA sizes for personalized setups
- Newly improved high-precision valve on the downflow pipe for easy flow regulation and near-silent operation
- Professional REEF-SPEC sump with various compartments including mechanical filtration, optional refugium, adjustable skimmer chamber, bubble trap, RO reservoir, and additional chamber for chillers, controllers, or other equipment (available on most models)
- Compatible with the ReefMat 500 or 1200 Auto Filter Roller for a plug & play filtration solution (sold separately)

Extra-Fortified Glass and Marine-Spec Cabinets
The G2 series of REEFER aquariums showcases rimless tanks constructed from ultra-clear, beveled-edge glass with an increased glass thickness of up to 19mm. These robust tanks sit atop newly fortified cabinet stands made of plywood, featuring Marine-Spec water-resistant lamination. Designed to perfectly complement the aquarium, the larger REEFER G2 models are equipped with additional “floating tank” aluminum supports. With adjustable leveling feet and stainless steel hinges, these cabinets provide the ultimate stability for your dream aquarium.
Improved Water Management and Plumbing
The G2 REEFER systems prioritize efficient water management and plumbing. The large overflow box with dual side-facing return pumps ensures optimal water circulation and superior surface skimming. The overflow box comes with a lid that conceals plumbing components and easily removable weir combs for hassle-free cleaning and enhanced surface skimming. Water flows seamlessly from the overflow box through an enlarged rectangular inlet to the downflow pipe, minimizing turbulence and creating a quieter operation. The G2 models also feature a newly improved high-precision valve on the downflow pipe, allowing for effortless flow regulation.
Reef-Ready Sump, Now ReefMat Compatible
The G2 sump continues the tradition of excellence from the previous generation of REEFER aquariums. It offers a mechanical filtration compartment complete with micron filter sock(s) and filter cup(s) to prevent clogging of pumps and other equipment. In an exciting addition to the G2 series, this chamber is compatible with the ReefMat 500 or 1200 without the need for modifications. The water then flows into the adjustable-height skimmer compartment, which maintains a steady water level for optimal skimmer performance or any other filtration components you choose to include. From there, the water passes through the final bubble trap and enters a chamber where you can place the return pump (not included) to circulate water back into the Reefer tank through the return plumbing.
The Reef-Ready sump system also offers an optional refugium compartment for cultivating chaeto or other macroalgae. Furthermore, it includes an RO reservoir capable of holding enough top-off water to ensure consistent water level, salinity, and flow rates throughout the tank.

With the all-new G2 models, you have the opportunity to purchase an additional 1-2 year warranty plan when registering your system online.
