Affordable Rent Based on Income

Parkchester Gardens Senior Apartments comprises 88 studio units and 65 one-bedroom apartments. Rent for each unit is determined based on income, with prospective tenants required to pay 30% of their earnings. This means that rents can be as low as $0 per month for residents with no income.   • Studios: $0 per month for households earning $0-$53,400
  • One-bedroom units: $0 per month for households earning $0-$60,050

To qualify, you must meet the aforementioned income requirements, as well as qualify for Section-8 assistance. Additionally, at least one member of your household must be 62 years of age or older. Please remember that you may only submit one application, either online or by mail. Submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification in accordance with the lottery rules. Additionally, 5% of the units are reserved for individuals with mobility issues, while 2% are set aside for those with vision and/or hearing impairments.
