Festival Dates & Hours
The festival promises three days of gastronomic delight, starting on Friday from 5PM to 11PM, Saturday from 12NOON to 11PM, and Sunday from 12NOON to 8PM. Please note that the festival hours are subject to change without notice, so make sure to stay updated.
Box Office Location & Hours
When you arrive at the festival, head to the Main Gate 1 Entrance where you’ll find the Box Office. On Friday, it opens at 5PM and closes by 9PM. On Saturday, it opens at 12NOON and closes by 9PM, and on Sunday, it opens at 12NOON and closes by 7PM. Remember, these times are subject to change, so plan accordingly.
Health/Safety
As we prioritize your health and safety, we want to assure you that we’ve taken all necessary precautions. While vaccination is not required, face masks will be mandatory according to state, county, and city guidelines. The festival is classified as an outdoor event, but it’s important to practice social distancing to keep everyone safe.
We understand that exposure to COVID-19 is a concern, but we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit. As such, we strongly encourage you to assess your own risk and make an informed decision about attending the festival. Rest assured, we have implemented strict cleaning and sanitizing procedures to maintain a safe environment.
Re-Entry and Handicap Accessibility
If you need to leave the festival and return on the same day, simply have your hand stamped at the front gate for easy re-entry. Additionally, we are committed to providing a handicap-accessible venue, including accessible bathrooms, to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festival comfortably.
Bring the Kids!
The Long Beach Lobster Festival is a family-friendly event that welcomes visitors of all ages, including children. On Saturday and Sunday, we have a designated children’s area where kids can enjoy the Cool Critter Show, Critter Close-up Encounter, Face Painting, carnival rides, and games. The children’s stage opens at 12NOON and closes at 6PM, offering family-friendly entertainment. Don’t forget to capture these precious moments at our FREE Souvenir E-Photo booth!
Children aged 12 and younger can enter the festival for free when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. Please note that this free admission does not include carnival rides and games, food, drinks, or access to the VIP Lounge.
Food Court Delights
Prepare your taste buds for a culinary adventure at our food court, where you’ll find an array of mouthwatering options. Feast on lobster rolls, lobster sliders, lobster-on-a-stick, and a variety of non-seafood items like BBQ, Mexican, American, Chinese, Thai, and other international cuisines. From beer and wine to specialty drinks like the infamous “Screaming Lobster” and Margaritas, we have something to satisfy every craving. And of course, there will be plenty of fresh live Maine lobster, flown in daily and steamed in the World’s Largest Cooker. Please note that the selection may vary each year, adding to the excitement and surprise.
Tickets and Payment Options
To gain entry to this extraordinary event, you can purchase tickets in advance or at the box office on the day of the festival. We recommend purchasing ahead of time to secure your spot and enjoy discounted prices. Some vendors accept credit cards, including the festival’s box office, but we also have ATMs available on-site if you prefer to use cash.
What’s Allowed and Prohibited
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, we conduct bag searches upon entry or re-entry. Folding chairs are permitted in designated areas, but tents, lawn chairs, hammocks, and canopies are not allowed. You may bring one unopened bottle of water per person, backpacks, binoculars, blankets, sheets, towels, and basic point and shoot consumer-grade cameras.
On the other hand, we have a list of prohibited items to maintain a secure environment. Please leave your pets at home, as only service animals are allowed on the festival grounds. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, except for one unopened bottle of water per person. Glass containers, wagons, portable tables, firearms, explosives, illegal substances, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, and unauthorized vendors are strictly prohibited. Security Screening & Entry
As part of our commitment to the safety of all festival-goers, we conduct thorough security screenings before entry. All bags will be searched, and we kindly ask for your cooperation. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to submit to a search before entry. Patrons who refuse to comply with the search policy will not be allowed into the event.
